You can’t beat the prices, but bring cash. It is everything that a small-town diner should be. The standard fare includes your normal diner sandwiches served with chips and several dessert options. There was also a special, more than reasonably priced. The cinnamon rolls were delicious. The portions are probably smaller than at a lot of restaurants, but the two of us left full for under $20, including the tip. The decor is old, but clean and very comfortable. I felt like I was in my aunt’s farmhouse kitchen.

The food at Lynette’s Cafe is actually quite decent, hearty portions, well-cooked, and reasonably priced. However, a word of warning: bring cash. I made the mistake of assuming they accepted cards. As soon as the words "you take cards, don’t you?" left my mouth, Lynette didn’t answer, she just gave a sharp whistle. Within seconds, six massive, rottweiler-like beasts exploded into the dining room, knocking over tables and sending other diners scrambling for the exits. Unfortunately, I was still inside when they reached me. What followed was sheer carnage. Plates shattered, chairs splintered, and I was personally savaged as the dogs tore through the place with terrifying efficiency. By the time they were called off, I was bruised, bloodied, and very much aware that Lynette does not entertain credit cards. Would I recommend it? Sure—if you absolutely have cash on hand and a solid exit plan.

Great cafe food. BLT (w/ chips). Cheeseburger (w/ chips) & Beroke (w/ choice of salad. Wonderful selection of pop—both Coke & Pepsi products. Much local memorabilia to view while waiting for your cooked-to-order meal. Definitely worth a stop at this cafe.

Dined here a few times over the last couple years. No complaints!! Bring cash to pay for meal. Worth every dollar!! Country cafe at it's best! Servings are not huge. FOOD IS DELICIOUS!! Atmosphere takes me back to my own Granny's (grandmother's) kitchen, that was built in 1950s. Nostalgic aromas of home cooked food. Ever passing through stop through and grab a bite. Her cinnamon rolls are heavenly. So much so my husband deliberately drove that way just to get some to have while on the road. Owner, cook, and hostess.... Very friendly soul. She's real .. treat her with respect and kindness ....that's what you get back!! ENJOY!!!!
